#148 ~ today. Co-Co insisted this one was for you, even though I got another shot that I really wanted to be yours…I think I’ll put it on flickr for you! : ) Well, she wanted you to have this one cause you can see her whole dress, and a little of a spin. The blur is a sunflower with her friend the butterfly on it! Chloe and Gaia came back from the neighbors (where they were all playing while E and I met with the appraiser) with this sweet butterfly they found walking home, it stuck around forever, just letting them hold it and admire it.
Day 148 – tea with in-laws. Mimi, that’s what the kids call Rich’s mom told Abbie to go sit in a meditation pose near the fish, she gladly did it. So I took a picture and we giggled. The little skirt with built in shorts she has on came from the thrift store we stopped by before tea. I’m happy she is willing to wear used clothes and actually gets very excited about it. Friday night she got three new skirts for 2 dollars each. She is collecting dolphins now and her Aunt surprised her with a dolphin music box on this night too. It was a fun night to be out with the girls.
#147 ~ I like the idea of us both admiring beautiful trees on the same day, so much…this is my one moment of clear peace from yesterday. the light is so warm and soft during my morning drives to drop Asa off at band camp, so yesterday I stopped on the gravel road by our house and spent a moment drinking up the beautiful light.
147 Yesterday I made time to get into our pool after work then lay on the hammock in the sun for two hours. I thought the sun would do my legs good. They are not getting better as quick as I like, I have finished the antibiotic last night and I still itch but I think not as much? One day I think my legs are looking better and the next I may itch them to pieces and they look bad again. It felt so good to just lay on the hammock, feel the wind, listen to the doves and wind chimes. There was a small bit of that time when the kids went inside and it was very peaceful. Then it was time to run Dylan to practice and there is an old park next to the soccer field so I took a walk around the park and looked at the old trees. We got home to Rich making dinner and Austin and Abbie in the pool, Dylan jumped in too and we had a little night swimming in the doughboy. I was going to send you a picture of a tree but when I saw my three in the pool at night as the moon came up and the sun went down, I thought that would be a better moment:)
# 146 ~ today ~ we needed a break from cleaning the porch floor and decided to jump in the pool to cool down, well, I went to grab our towels off the line, and was taken back by the leaves gathered on the towels and then I noticed all the leaves fallen onto the ground, too. I know the tulip poplar leaves fall early, and it’s been too hot to really feel much like fall is coming, but…the leaves with the thought of school starting here in one week exactly, made me feel fall right around the corner.
Abbie LOVES SHOES and she likes the shoe section and she likes heels. No joke every day she goes in my closet and wears my heels way more than I do. So I bought her a pair of tiny heels for play and she was in heaven. She fell in love with a purse but the limit was one thing. I got myself a hand mixer and she got new heels. She is such a girl and I was afraid with two older brothers I would for sure get a tomboy. So my day 146 is Abbie in the shoe section at Goodwill.
# 145 ~ Tues. ~ As I was saying in the last e-mail, we’ve been straightening and tidying lots. The girl’s job yesterday was to dust Chloe’s dresser and other things in my room (which her stuff is in too, though, she technically sleeps with Jasper in their room overflowing with toys!) Anyway, I walked in and saw they had reorganized the things on top of the dresser, adding their baby booties to the mix, I nearly burst apart at the seams…I was really touched to see them there, and really loved that they wanted to have
them out for us all to see, and remember…
Hello. Today we went to the car wash and Rich gave the jeep a little rinse off. That’s our picture. I like that Dylan got in it but I cut off his nose. How was your day?
